Feature adoption
Vimeo uses custom tooltips to bring the user's attention to new features. The tooltips are not activated sequentially or all at once. They are set up to show when a user is on the relevant web page, and multiple tips on the same page are spaced out with cool-off periods so they do not overhwhelm the user.
