Redesign Tour

In-app Announcement and Tour

Figma recently rolled out its new redesign. The rollout is accompanied by an in-app announcement and an optional product tour. Making product tours opt-in is a best practice, as unsolicited product tours popups can feel invasive – like a game of whack-a-mole. By opting in, users express their interest and readiness to engage.

The Figma tour is well-crafted. It is brief, catering to users’ limited attention spans, and avoids lengthy walkthroughs (e.g. 6+ steps). Additionally, the tour is interactive; users can click on highlighted UI elements, allowing the tour to progress seamlessly without needing to select "next." Finally, the design and animations align with Figma's high standards, enhancing the overall user experience.
